For over a decade in the brow and cosmetic tattoo industry, I have worked with women in every stage of life, young clients recovering from years of over-plucking, women navigating pregnancy and postpartum changes, clients in menopause experiencing thinning and texture shifts, and others rebuilding after illness, stress, or medical treatment.

Again and again, I heard the same belief:

“My brows just stopped growing.”
“I think the follicles are dead.”

What I saw clinically, however, told a different story.

In many cases, the follicles weren’t gone, they were dormant. Resting. Waiting for the right environment and stimulation to function again.

There was a significant gap in education around follicle biology. Dormancy was being mistaken for death. Cosmetic enhancement was often offered before biological potential had even been explored.

And ethically, that never sat comfortably with me.

As cosmetic tattooing evolved, I began asking a deeper question:
